Tennis champion Zheng Qinwen has added another impressive title to her name: guest editor.
The world`s No. 8 ranked player, already known for her appearances in fashion magazines like Harper`s Bazaar, GQ, and Vogue China, recently took on a new role with W Magazine China. This time, she stepped behind the camera to become the guest editor for their latest “Energy Issue.”
Zheng described her experience as guest editor as `incredible`. In this special issue, she offers readers a glimpse into her personal life, sharing recipes, music tastes, and lifestyle choices. More importantly, she shares her personal journey of development, aiming to motivate and encourage her audience.
W Magazine highlights Zheng`s dedication both on and off the court, stating that she `gives her all` in tennis and `continues to explore her limitless possibilities` in other aspects of her life.
Zheng encourages readers to `accept reality and keep pushing forward until you achieve your next victory,` urging them to constantly strive for self-improvement.
The magazine issue also features stunning photographs of Zheng in various stylish outfits by Sean+Seng. In one set of images, she is seen in Dior clothing against a red backdrop, including a striking red and white leather jacket. Another set shows her transitioning between sporty and elegant looks in front of a white background, wearing Dior tanks with a beaded overskirt and a flowing gown with a red crown and bold red lipstick, referencing her nickname `Queenwen`.
Following successful runs at Indian Wells and Miami, and a quarterfinal appearance in Charleston, Zheng demonstrates her versatility and ambition beyond tennis through this editorial role.
