UFC President Dana White has revealed when the announcement for Ilia Topuria`s debut lightweight fight is scheduled.
In late February, Topuria, who represents Spain and is of Georgian descent, vacated his featherweight title to compete in the lightweight division (under 70kg).
White stated, `We are currently working on a plan for Ilia. We need to make an announcement about his future. Give us a couple of weeks, and we will release specific details on Topuria. As of now, yes, he has vacated the title and moved to lightweight. You will learn the rest in a couple of weeks.`
