Arman Tsarukyan, currently ranked as the number one contender in the UFC lightweight division, shared his prediction regarding a potential fight between the promotion`s current lightweight champion Ilia Topuria and former champion Islam Makhachev.
“Islam Makhachev would defeat Ilia Topuria by technical knockout. Islam is a fighter operating at a different standard. You simply cannot draw a comparison between him and Ilia.”
It`s worth noting that Makhachev has recently moved up to the welterweight division and is reportedly awaiting a fight against the reigning champion in that weight class, Jack Della Maddalena.
