Tottenham`s legends, including players like Aaron Lennon, Robbie Keane, Dimitar Berbatov, and Jermain Defoe, displayed impressive football in the initial minutes of the game.

The former Premier League stars quickly took a 3-0 lead within the first 20 minutes against an AC Milan team that included Dida, Andrea Pirlo, and Cafu.

Spurs supporters expressed on social media their wish that these legendary players could continue playing even after the international break, suggesting jokingly that they might perform better than the current Tottenham squad.

One fan commented online: “Keep these lads on after the international break.”

Another fan added: “Can the legends just play every week till end of the season?”

A third fan joked: “The legends are playing better than our first team.”

And a fourth fan posted: “Seen enough, bring Defoe back to the first team,” after Defoe scored in the first half.

Tottenham`s current season under coach Ange Postecoglou has been challenging, as they are currently positioned 14th in the Premier League.

The club has managed to win only 10 out of 29 league matches this season and has been eliminated from both domestic cup competitions.

They barely advanced to the Europa League quarter-finals, overcoming a first-leg deficit against AZ Alkmaar.

Their difficult season has been partly attributed to numerous injuries within the team, but performances haven`t significantly improved even with the return of key players.

In contrast, their legends team achieved a dominant 5-0 lead by halftime in their match against Milan.

AC Milan offered more resistance in the second half, scoring two goals, including a notable free-kick from Pirlo, increasing the pressure on Tottenham.

However, another goal from Spurs secured a 6-2 victory, with the veteran players demonstrating their ability to entertain the fans.

Tottenham`s next challenge is a match against London rivals Chelsea in their first game following the international break.

They are also preparing for their Europa League quarter-final clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
