Former UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has responded to lightweight champion Islam Makhachev`s apparent reluctance to fight him.
Topuria stated, “I don`t want to fight for the title of challenger. It doesn`t matter to me if Islam doesn`t want to fight me. He will have to face me. You yourself said that champions don`t look at the opponent`s name. You want to call yourself a champion and dominate the division. Well, I`m here! You won`t be able to avoid me forever,” Topuria said in an interview with Joe Rogan.
