Ilia Topuria, the former UFC featherweight champion, has stated his belief that his knockout power will be significantly amplified as he moves up to the lightweight division.
During an interview on Joe Rogan`s podcast, Topuria confidently declared, “You`ll witness it firsthand – in the lightweight class, a mere touch will be enough for me to switch off my opponents` lights. Precise strikes to the jaw won`t even be necessary. Just a single connection to the head, and it will be over.”
Topuria emphasized his enhanced physical attributes at this weight, saying, “At lightweight, I feel incredibly strong and stable on my feet. If opponents want to wrestle, that`s not a problem at all. My stamina is more than sufficient to endure fights lasting not just five rounds, but five days.”
