Former UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has explained why Khabib Nurmagomedov is against a potential fight between him and current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
“Khabib knows that I am the one who will take the belt from Islam. And that is the only reason he doesn`t want Islam to fight me,” Topuria stated on X.
It is reminded that Topuria recently relinquished his featherweight title and announced his move to compete in the lightweight division.
