Former UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has indicated that he is open to the possibility of competing in the welterweight division.
Speaking at a recent press conference, Topuria addressed the potential move, stating, “Moving to welterweight? Sure, why not? It depends on whether the fans want to see me fight there. And if there`s a champion or a significant opponent available. I fight to entertain people.”
He added, “Obviously, I also need to be motivated by the challenge, so I`m not closing the door on welterweight. If the right opportunity arises and it`s an exciting matchup, I would agree to it.”
