Partey, 31, received the yellow card for his involvement in an incident with Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger.

His teammate Declan Rice criticized the midfielder for his foolish action.

Rice, the former captain of West Ham, was visibly upset with Partey and was seen scolding him for the mistake.

Fans also expressed their opinions on social media.

One fan commented: "He is the most brainless player I have ever seen."

Another added: "I thought Declan was about to fight Partey right there!! What a needless, stupid yellow card."

Arsenal began the second leg against Real Madrid comfortably ahead thanks to their 3-0 victory at home the previous week.

Rice`s two amazing free-kicks put Mikel Arteta`s team in control.

Mikel Merino extended the lead, putting the North London team in a dominant position.

Arsenal could have secured the win within the first 10 minutes, but Bukayo Saka missed a penalty, which was saved by Thibaut Courtois.

However, Saka made amends in the second half by scoring with a skillful lob.

Real Madrid quickly responded with an equalizer from Vinicius Jnr, but Gabriel Martinelli secured the victory for Arsenal in extra time.

The match was filled with drama, including Bukayo Saka`s missed penalty in the first half.

Additionally, a penalty awarded to Real Madrid was overturned by VAR before halftime.

Saka was also involved in a heated argument with Dani Carvajal as they headed to the locker room at halftime.

Rice also had a heated exchange with Jude Bellingham in the second half.
