Stuart Pearce Back on talkSPORT for England Match After Health Issue

Stuart Pearce has expressed his joy at returning to talkSPORT after a recent health scare. His comeback coincides with a significant game: England versus Albania.

The 62-year-old former England defender shared his excitement about being back in the commentary box for the Three Lions’ World Cup qualifier against Albania, which also marks Thomas Tuchel’s debut as manager.

Earlier this month, Pearce experienced a medical emergency on a flight from Las Vegas.

He described experiencing chest pains, requiring medical intervention where doctors had to insert a tube and “reboot” his heart.

TalkSPORT released a video of Pearce at Wembley where he stated he was “really looking forward to the game.”

The former West Ham personality added his hopes for “a high-octane performance by England, a victory to kick off this campaign successfully” under the new manager.

Following the health incident on a Virgin Atlantic flight to Heathrow, Pearce spent five days in hospital.

After his hospital stay, he reassured talkSPORT hosts Jim White and Simon Jordan that he was feeling “brilliant.”

During the transatlantic flight, Pearce was monitored after experiencing excessive sweating and severe pain. Flight attendants provided initial treatment as his partner watched.

Pearce will be commentating on an England team featuring debutants Dan Burn and Myles Lewis-Skelly, as well as Aston Villa’s Marcus Rashford in the starting lineup.

Manchester City and Nottingham Forest fans recently showed their support for Pearce with a heartfelt message during their Premier League match two weeks prior.

Fans at the game participated in a minute’s applause in the third minute, and a banner was displayed. Additionally, the message “Get well soon Stuart” was shown on the City Ground’s big screen.
