Sharks select forward Michael Misa second overall in 2025 NHL Draft

The San Jose Sharks have officially selected highly-touted forward Michael Misa as the second overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

Misa demonstrated exceptional skill during his time in the OHL with the Saginaw Spirit. He had a dominant season, recording an impressive 62 goals and accumulating a total of 134 points over 65 games. His outstanding performance led him to capture the league`s scoring title and earn most valuable player honors.

His tally of 62 goals ties him for the third-highest scoring total achieved by a player eligible for the draft in the history of the OHL.

After being granted exceptional player status, which allowed him to enter the OHL a year ahead of his age group, Misa was originally chosen first overall by the Spirit in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. He was also a key contributor to Saginaw`s Memorial Cup championship victory last season.
