Sean O’Malley: “I Plan to Knock Out Dvalishvili”

MMA

Former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O`Malley shared insights into his training camp for the highly anticipated rematch against current titleholder Merab Dvalishvili. The bout is scheduled for June 7th at UFC 316 in Newark, South Carolina.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, O`Malley stated, “Today, I focused more on grappling in training than I did throughout my entire last training camp. It might sound unbelievable, but it`s the truth. I am confident I can perform significantly better than I did in our first encounter. My previous performance was frankly embarrassing.”

O`Malley further elaborated on his rigorous preparation: “We`ve been doing seven six-minute rounds of grappling against top-level fighters. I need to be fully prepared – Merab is a formidable opponent. Currently, he`s regarded as one of the greatest bantamweight fighters in history. However, my plan is to go out there and knock him out. What will people say about me then?”
