Shortly after the Masters Tournament, where Rory McIlroy achieved a career grand slam, many of the best PGA Tour players will compete at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. They will be vying for the coveted plaid jacket awarded to the winner.
Scottie Scheffler, currently ranked No. 1 in the world, will be defending his RBC Heritage title this week at Harbour Town Golf Links. He is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Masters. Last year, Scheffler won this tournament by three strokes after weather delays and suspension of play.
Scheffler is still seeking his first victory in 2025 and will be among 72 golfers competing for the top prize of $3.6 million from the total $20 million purse. Notably absent from the top 30 players on the PGA Tour are McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama.
