Anthony Mantha`s tenure with the Calgary Flames proved to be short-lived.
The forward has officially signed a one-year contract valued at $2.5 million with the Pittsburgh Penguins, the team confirmed on Wednesday.
According to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports, the agreement also includes the potential for an additional $2 million in performance-based bonuses.
The 30-year-old forward from Longueuil, Quebec, joined the Flames last summer on a one-year deal but saw his season cut short after just 13 games due to an ACL injury in November that required season-ending surgery. Before his injury, he recorded seven points, consisting of four goals and three assists.
Mantha was originally selected by the Detroit Red Wings as the 20th overall pick in the first round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Throughout his 10-season NHL career, playing for the Red Wings, Washington Capitals, Vegas Golden Knights, and Flames, he has accumulated a total of 303 points (146 goals, 157 assists) across 507 games.
