Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O`Malley has commented on his recent defeat at the hands of the current titleholder, Merab Dvalishvili.

The American fighter was submitted by the Georgian in the third round of their main event bout at UFC 316, held today, June 8, in Newark, USA.

“Merab is very tough. Thank you to everyone who came. I am very grateful to you, without you nothing would be possible. Merab is just very tough,” O`Malley stated following the fight.

This contest marked the second meeting between O`Malley and Dvalishvili inside the octagon. Their initial encounter took place in September of the previous year, where Merab secured a victory via decision.
