Oilers Await Injury Imaging Results for McDavid and Draisaitl

Watch as Connor McDavid seems to get hacked by Josh Morrissey in the second period, and is eventually ruled out for the rest of the game moments later.

Edmonton Oilers fans are waiting for news regarding the condition of their two star players, as the results could significantly impact their season.

It’s reported that Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are scheduled for imaging on Friday to assess the seriousness of their injuries. This should provide clarity on their expected return to the game, according to reports.

McDavid’s injury appeared to occur in the last moments of the second period during Thursday’s game against the Jets.

During the play in Winnipeg’s zone, Jets defender Josh Morrissey made contact with McDavid, with his stick seemingly hitting McDavid in the midsection.

McDavid immediately showed signs of discomfort. He remained on the bench for the rest of the second period but did not return for the third and was quickly ruled out for the game.

Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch informed reporters after the game that there was no update on McDavid’s condition at that time.

Edmonton Oilers’ Stuart Skinner is forced to exit the game against the Winnipeg Jets due to concussion protocol after getting knocked into his net by Gabriel Vilardi.
