NHL

The Edmonton Oilers have added a new goaltender to their team due to an injury to Stuart Skinner.

Edmonton has recalled Olivier Rodrigue from the AHL`s Bakersfield Condors on an emergency basis, the team announced on Thursday.

In a related roster move, forward Derek Ryan has been sent down to Bakersfield.

Olivier Rodrigue, who is 24 years old, has played 40 games for the Bakersfield Condors this season, recording a 3.05 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage. He is still waiting to play his first game in the NHL.

Stuart Skinner`s game was cut short on Wednesday after he was hit in the head by the knee of Dallas Stars player Mikko Rantanen.
