As the competition for the NHL`s biggest prize, the Stanley Cup, is already underway, the league is preparing to reveal the finalists for its annual individual honors.
The league announced on Friday that the finalists for each award will be unveiled over a two-week period, starting with the Vezina Trophy on Monday.
Finalist Announcement Schedule
Monday, April 28
Vezina Trophy – Awarded to the goaltender judged to be the best at his position.
Tuesday, April 29
James Norris Memorial Trophy – Awarded to the defenceman who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position.
Wednesday, April 30
Ted Lindsay Award – Presented to the most outstanding player as voted by fellow members of the NHLPA.
Thursday, May 1
Hart Memorial Trophy – Awarded to the player judged to be the most valuable to his team.
Friday, May 2
Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy – Presented to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.
Frank J. Selke Trophy – Awarded to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game.
Jack Adams Award – Presented to the coach judged to have contributed the most to his team’s success.
Lady Byng Memorial Trophy – Awarded to the player judged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability.
Monday, May 5
Calder Memorial Trophy – Awarded to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition (rookie).
Monday, May 12
Willie O’Ree Community Hero Award – Presented to an individual who – through the game of hockey – has positively impacted their community, culture, or society.
Finalists for the Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award will be announced following the second round of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Only the winners will be announced for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy and the Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award; finalists will not be revealed.
