Murphy: “Give me anyone in the top 5 and I’ll be ready in July”

MMA

British welterweight fighter Leron Murphy has spoken about his recent victory over Josh Emmett and shared his aspirations for his next fight.

Reflecting on the Emmett fight, Murphy said, “I had to be cautious and stick to my game plan. Everyone knows how dangerous Emmett is; he has knockout power. At this level of competition, you can`t afford errors. Having been knocked down in my previous fight, I made sure it didn`t happen again.”

Looking ahead, Murphy stated, “Ultimately, I want to challenge for the title, but in the meantime, I`m willing to take on any opponent from the top 5, or even the top 3. Name anyone, and I`ll be ready to fight them in July. Let`s get it on, I`m looking to extend my winning streak and get that title shot.”

Murphy`s victory over Emmett was secured by unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 65 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
