Maple Leafs Secure Luke Haymes with Two-Year Contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially announced the signing of center player Luke Haymes to a two-year contract. This announcement was made public on Monday.

Haymes`s contract is set to commence at the start of the 2025-26 season. For the remainder of the 2024-25 season, he will be joining the Toronto Marlies in the AHL under an amateur tryout agreement.

At 21 years old, Haymes recently showcased his skills at Dartmouth College in the NCAA. Despite a season shortened by injury, he impressively scored 12 goals and provided six assists over 22 games.

Hailing from Ottawa, Haymes has an extensive NCAA record, playing 83 games for Dartmouth and accumulating a total of 41 goals and 29 assists. His performance earned him recognition on the 2023-24 NCAA All-Ivy League First Team and the NCAA (ECAC) First All-Star Team.
