Manchester United Reportedly Pursuing Antoine Semenyo

Football

According to recent reports, Manchester United have initiated discussions regarding a potential transfer for Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo.

Manchester United is reportedly preparing for a significant summer transfer window as they aim to address weaknesses in their squad following a challenging season, which saw them record their lowest-ever Premier League points tally.

TalkSPORT claims that bringing in Cherries winger Semenyo is a possibility. The outlet suggests that the 25-year-old has already held talks with executives at Old Trafford concerning a move during the upcoming summer.

Bournemouth reportedly values the Ghana international at around £70 million. Semenyo enjoyed a productive season, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in the Premier League.

However, United faces competition for his signature, as several other clubs, including Chelsea, Tottenham, and Arsenal, have also been linked with the player. Semenyo only signed a new contract with Bournemouth last season, tying him to the club until 2029.

In addition to Semenyo, United have also been linked with Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap and Wolves forward Matheus Cunha. Both players are rumoured to have release clauses in their current contracts, which could potentially simplify negotiations.

Amidst the efforts to improve the team, reports indicate that the club`s ownership is prepared to financially support the manager in the transfer market this summer.
