NHL

Colorado Avalanche forward Logan O`Connor is anticipated to be sidelined for a minimum of five months following hip surgery performed on Friday.

The procedure was conducted by Dr. Bryan Kelly in New York City.

The 28-year-old forward concluded the season with 10 goals and 11 assists over 80 regular-season contests. During the first-round playoff series against Dallas, which went to seven games, he contributed two goals.

Notably, O`Connor underwent a previous hip surgery in March 2024. He also signed a six-year contract extension with the Avalanche last September.

Prior to his professional career, O`Connor played for three seasons at the University of Denver, where he was part of the Pioneers team that secured an NCAA championship title in the 2016-17 season.
