Jonjo Shelvey is now without a club after being released by Burnley as part of their end-of-season clear-out.
The ex-England international, aged 33, signed for the Clarets in January after his contract with Turkish club Eyupspor was terminated.

However, the midfielder played for a mere 11 minutes during his brief time at Turf Moor across four months.
As a result, Burnley decided not to offer him a new contract upon its expiry on June 30th.

A club statement confirmed his departure alongside Nathan Redmond and thanked the players for their contributions, wishing them well for their future careers.
Shelvey`s career began at Charlton Athletic before he moved to Liverpool in 2010, spending three years with the club, including a loan spell at Blackpool. He then joined Swansea City.
A move to Newcastle United followed in 2016, where he remained until 2023. He then joined Nottingham Forest in January 2023 but surprisingly left for Caykur Rizespor the following September.

He signed for Eyupspor last August, making only six league appearances before his contract was cancelled, leading to his January move to Burnley.
Shelvey earned his first England cap in 2012 during a 5-0 victory over San Marino at Wembley. He made five further appearances for the Three Lions in 2015, with his last cap coming in a 2-0 friendly win against France.
