Mixed martial arts champion Demetrious Johnson stated that interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall should not wait for a fight with full titleholder Jon Jones.
“If I were Aspinall, I`d be thinking, `No, I`m not waiting six months.` It seems to me that the UFC should give him one more fight. On the other hand, a victory over Jon Jones would be the biggest fight of his career…”
“I would say no, considering that Jon Jones wants to wait six months. I would fight someone else. I would defend the interim heavyweight title. Everyone dances to Jon Jones` tune. He`s dictating the terms right now. Aspinall shouldn`t wait for Jones,” Johnson said on his YouTube channel.
