Joe Pyfer Explains Withdrawal from Gastelum Bout

American UFC middleweight fighter Joe Pyfer has commented on his withdrawal from the scheduled fight against fellow American, Kelvin Gastelum.

Their match was set to take place at UFC on ESPN 64 in Mexico City.

Pyfer expressed his regret about being unable to compete, stating, “My heart is breaking that I can`t fight tonight. I felt really unwell, and I hope our fight can be rescheduled for the coming weeks.”

He added, “Unfortunately, these things can happen when traveling internationally. I will be more cautious going forward. I apologize to everyone and I will be back.” The fighter shared this message on X.
