Jiri Procházka Withdraws from UFC 317 for Unexpected Reason: School

MMA

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Procházka will not be competing at the upcoming UFC 317 event. The reason cited for his withdrawal is notably unconventional: academic commitments.

His manager, Martin Karáivanov, confirmed the situation, stating, “We received an offer, but everything is being put on hold due to his school obligations. Once Jiri completes this, we will resume negotiations regarding his next fight.”

The UFC 317 event is scheduled to take place on June 29th in Las Vegas.
