Jamie Vardy caused quite a stir with his selections for the best Leicester City XI he`s played alongside during his time at the club.
The Foxes icon recently announced his departure from the club after a distinguished 13-year tenure concluding this season.

Vardy, aged 38, enjoyed immense success at Leicester, securing both the Premier League and FA Cup trophies.
However, his time also included two relegations from the top flight of English football, which seems to have influenced his squad choices.
The veteran forward made no room for any player from the current Leicester City squad in his chosen eleven.
This notable exclusion includes prominent figures like Wilfred Ndidi and Ricardo Pereira.
Vardy also omitted England internationals including Harry Maguire and James Maddison.
These two players departed the King Power Stadium for Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, respectively, in lucrative transfers.
Another England star conspicuous by his absence was the national team captain, Harry Kane.
The Bayern Munich striker had a brief nine-minute appearance alongside Vardy during a loan spell from Spurs in 2013.

Other notable players who didn`t make Vardy`s cut include Inter Milan legend Esteban Cambiasso, Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, and Ademola Lookman.
Vardy`s selection clearly favored players from the historic Premier League title-winning team of 2016.

In goal, the striker chose Kasper Schmeichel, defended by a back four consisting of Danny Simpson, Wes Morgan, Robert Huth, and Christian Fuchs.
His midfield trio comprised Youri Tielemans, N`Golo Kante, and Danny Drinkwater.
In attack, Vardy, naturally, selected himself, supported on the wings by Riyad Mahrez and Marc Albrighton.
Here is Jamie Vardy`s Best Leicester City XI he has played with:
- Goalkeeper: Kasper Schmeichel
- Defenders: Danny Simpson, Wes Morgan, Robert Huth, Christian Fuchs
- Midfielders: Youri Tielemans, N`Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater
- Forwards: Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, Marc Albrighton
Fans quickly noted the complete absence of his current teammates from the list, interpreting it as a stark commentary on the present state of the team.
One fan commented: “None of his current team-mates lol.”
Another wrote: “So no current squad? Yeahhh…. Even Jamie knows.”
A third remarked: “No one from the current crop of rubbish.”
A fourth joked: “Surprised Wout Faes hasn’t been included in that, to be fair.”
Vardy had previously confirmed his departure from Leicester through an emotional video message.
His decision follows the club`s relegation from the Premier League.
Vardy would likely have preferred to end his tenure on a higher note, having described the relegation season as a “s**t show”.
He is expected to continue his playing career, with reports suggesting interest from clubs in the US.
