Holloway commented, `It was a well-fought match. Alex fought intelligently, effectively scoring points and avoiding getting drawn into a brawl. I believe he secured victory in four rounds – the first, second, third, and fifth. Many doubted his ability to reclaim the title. Lopez proved to be incredibly tough, even with an injured eye.
