Harrison: “I didn’t come to MMA to be called second after Nunes”

MMA

UFC fighter and two-time Olympic judo gold medalist Kayla Harrison has expressed her strong desire to compete against former two-division UFC champion Amanda Nunes.

“I’ve always dreamed of this fight, but I’ve never spoken about it disrespectfully. I truly believe she is the greatest of all time. And for me it’s obvious – she made herself. But I didn’t come to this sport to be called second after Amanda. I hope we share the cage with respect and dignity. And may the best win.”

Harrison, known for her dominant judo background, recently joined the UFC roster and immediately set her sights on the top competitors in the division, making it clear her ambition is to reach the pinnacle of the sport.
