Golden Knights Ink Goalie Cameron Whitehead to Entry-Level Contract

The Vegas Golden Knights are bolstering their goaltending depth as they head into the playoffs.

On Thursday, the team announced the signing of goalie Cameron Whitehead to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Whitehead comes to the Golden Knights after playing college hockey at Northeastern University. In his recent season, he played 35 games, achieving a record of 13 wins, 17 losses, and 3 ties. His goals-against average was 2.74, and his save percentage was .911.

The 21-year-old played a key role in Northeastern`s journey to the 2025 Hockey East conference tournament semifinals, where they upset the top-seeded Boston College. Northeastern was eventually defeated by the University of Maine.

Whitehead`s path to the Golden Knights began at the 2022 NHL Draft, where Vegas selected him in the fourth round, as the 128th overall pick.
