Former UFC competitor Dan Hardy offered his views on Islam Makhachev`s potential move to the welterweight division.
Hardy stated in an interview with Submission Radio: “Who would be more successful at welterweight, Islam or Khabib? I believe it`s Islam. He appears slightly larger than Khabib at lightweight, which suggests he`ll handle the transition to welterweight more effectively. Furthermore, Makhachev`s striking skills have progressed significantly since his last defeat. In summary, Islam is a more well-rounded MMA competitor.”
