Keira Walsh and Georgia Stanway, prominent figures in English football, are set to be celebrated at the 2025 Women`s Football Awards.
These two accomplished Lionesses will be presented with Special Recognition Awards in acknowledgment of their significant impact on women`s football.


The accolades will recognize their achievements not only for England but also for their contributions to the sport on the international stage.
Walsh, 28, and Stanway will be presented with their awards at a prestigious ceremony on May 1st, hosted at the InterContinental London, Park Lane.
The event will be compered by BBC presenter Gabby Logan, alongside former Lioness Eni Aluko and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.
Carragher, a key figure in the launch of the Women’s Football Awards in 2023, expressed his enthusiasm for presenting this year`s awards.
He commented on the outstanding careers of Keira Walsh and Georgia Stanway, highlighting their remarkable success in football.
Carragher emphasized that the awards will appropriately celebrate their accomplishments in the sport.
He further added that the awards will also acknowledge their significant work beyond the field, particularly their dedication to enhancing access to grassroots football for women and girls.
Carragher stated his anticipation for honoring Walsh and Stanway at the upcoming ceremony, alongside Gabby Logan and Eni Aluko.
Walsh is recognized as a pioneer in women`s football, both for her playing career and her efforts in developing grassroots football for girls.
She was instrumental in establishing the Rochdale Girls Development Centre two years ago.
Additionally, Walsh has provided funding for kits and equipment for a female talent program, supporting 35 young girls.
Her playing achievements include a BWSL title in 2016, three Women’s FA Cups, and four Continental League Cups with Manchester City.
In 2022, Walsh joined Barcelona before returning to England and signing with Chelsea in January.
Stanway, 26, has also achieved considerable success in her career, playing for Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
Notably, she scored a crucial goal in the Lionesses` victorious campaign at the UEFA Women`s Euros 2022.
