Dustin Poirier has expressed interest in potentially facing former featherweight champion Ilia Topuria, provided Topuria moves up to the lightweight division.
Poirier clarified that he hasn`t been formally offered this bout. However, he took the initiative to contact UFC officials himself after Topuria mentioned plans to compete at 70 kg. Poirier reached out to inquire about the prospects of facing Topuria at that weight. Unfortunately, the UFC didn`t show interest in his inquiry and informed him that the fight wouldn`t be arranged.
