Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice was clearly unimpressed after his pre-match rallying call went unheeded by his teammates.

The Gunners conceded just four minutes into their crucial Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain, a goal that ultimately proved decisive.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta had called for an electric atmosphere at the Emirates before the match.

However, the home crowd was silenced just minutes into the game when Ousmane Dembele fired PSG into the lead.

The French forward was left unmarked just inside the penalty area, striking the ball powerfully past Arsenal keeper David Raya and in off the post.

This happened just minutes after England international Rice had issued a crucial warning to his teammates.

Speaking during a pre-match huddle on the Emirates pitch, he was heard to say: “If we don`t have the ball, we die.”

As Dembele celebrated his opening goal, Rice`s reaction was captured by the Amazon Prime cameras.

The 26-year-old midfielder was seen shaking his head in visible disgust.

Before kick-off, Rice – who had previously scored two free-kicks in an impressive 3-0 win over Real Madrid earlier in the month – was praised by teammate Raya.

The goalkeeper stated that the former West Ham star is among the “top three midfielders in the world”.

Raya commented: “He`s got to be top three midfielders in the world.”

“He can do everything, playing as a defensive midfielder (No. 6) or a box-to-box midfielder (No. 8), defending or attacking.”

“And of course, he can now take free kicks!”

“He`s performing better this season than he did last year.”

“He`s still young, but he has definitely taken the step to become a top player and a leader.”
