UFC CEO Dana White provided an update on the highly anticipated heavyweight championship picture during the press conference held after UFC On ESPN 66. White confirmed that the unification bout between reigning heavyweight champion Jon Jones and interim titleholder Tom Aspinall is definitively scheduled to occur within the current calendar year.
According to White, the timeline for the clash between Jones and Aspinall is set: “The fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall will definitely happen this year.”
