Crystal Palace made history by defeating Manchester City in a thrilling FA Cup final.
Eberechi Eze was the hero for the Eagles, as Oliver Glasner`s side secured a dramatic 1-0 victory.
This victory marked Palace`s first major domestic trophy in their 119-year history.
Eze put the underdogs ahead against the run of play in the first half, executing a superb finish from a Daniel Munoz cross.
Dean Henderson was outstanding in goal for Palace, making several excellent saves, including stopping Omar Marmoush`s penalty.
However, there was debate whether he should have stayed on the field after appearing to handle the ball outside the box.
Ultimately, Palace earned a deserved victory through exceptional defensive work and standout individual performances.
Dean Henderson – 9
Made crucial early saves from Erling Haaland and Josko Gvardiol.
Remarkably stayed on the pitch despite a debatable handball outside the box, then saved Omar Marmoush`s penalty.
Made another good stop from Jeremy Doku and two vital late saves from Echeverri.
Marc Guehi – 8
A true captain`s performance leading Palace`s three-man defence until injury forced him off.
Executed a vital header under his own crossbar following a Henderson save.
Unluckily took a blow to the face and had to be substituted.
Maxence Lacroix – 7
The less commanding of the centre-backs but still provided necessary stability as Palace defended in the first half.
Made an important headed clearance from Haaland early in the second period and took on more responsibility after Guehi`s departure.
Contributed to keeping Haaland largely contained.
Chris Richards – 9
Showed calmness and composure under pressure from City`s attack.
Consistently positioned well to break up opposition plays.
Won important aerial duels and made key defensive actions.
Formed an excellent defensive pairing with Munoz.
Tyrick Mitchell – 7
Played his part effectively in resisting City`s relentless pressure.
Seemed to jeopardise Palace`s lead by conceding a penalty with a challenge on Silva.
However, maintained focus and successfully managed Savinho on his flank.
Daniel Munoz – 9
Defended calmly inside the penalty area, unlike Mitchell, executing a crucial tackle on Nico O`Reilly in the second half.
Delivered a magnificent cross for Eze`s goal and another dangerous ball that Sarr nearly converted.
Had a goal correctly disallowed due to an offside in the build-up.
An utterly tireless performance.
Adam Wharton – 8
Displayed remarkable discipline without the ball, maintaining position and timing his challenges effectively.
Distributed some good passes when opportunities arose.
His performance clearly demonstrated why top clubs like City are reportedly interested in him.
Daichi Kamada – 8
Brought significant energy from the outset, although his early execution wasn`t always precise.
His passing accuracy improved as the match progressed and he made a crucial tackle on Silva early in the second half.
Ismaila Sarr – 6
Did not consistently apply the high press Glasner desired and failed to provide a reliable attacking outlet when Palace regained possession.
Could have doubled the lead but didn`t connect cleanly with his first-half shot.
His performance level did not significantly improve after the halftime break.
Eberechi Eze – 7
His magnificent volleyed goal was arguably his only truly impactful moment.
Struggled with the defensive requirements set by manager Glasner and found it difficult to influence play in the attacking third.
A blocked powerful shot was his only other notable contribution in the second half.
