Connor Brown`s participation in the Stanley Cup Final opener on Wednesday is questionable.

Edmonton Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch announced Tuesday that the forward`s availability for Game 1 will be decided just before the game.

Previously, both Knoblauch and Brown had indicated the experienced player would be ready to play.

The 31-year-old left Game 3 of the Western Conference Final versus the Stars after being injured by a hit from Dallas defenseman Alexander Petrovic.

Brown was already dealing with issues prior to this injury, having been a game-time decision for Game 1 and missing the morning skate before Game 2.

He finished the regular season with 30 points (13 goals, 17 assists) in 82 games and has contributed eight points (five goals, three assists) in the current playoffs.

Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final is scheduled for Wednesday.
