Chelsea footballer Wesley Fofana has received a two-year driving ban due to accumulating 47 penalty points on his license.
The French international defender`s points total is remarkably high, surpassing the current Premier League points of several major clubs, such as Manchester United, who have 39 points.

At Lavender Hill magistrates’ court in South West London on Wednesday, it was revealed he committed eight driving offences involving three different cars within a single year.
Fofana, aged 24, was not present in court but was labelled a “habitual speeder” by chairman John Soones, who added another 38 points to his existing nine, bringing the total to 47.
Mr Soones commented that the court considered him a “habitual speeder” who owns powerful cars and often drives at speeds nearly double the legal limit.
His earliest recorded offence occurred last March when he drove his Lamborghini Urus at 26mph in a 20mph zone in Brixton, South London.

Subsequently, Fofana was caught speeding five times in his £300,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan and twice in his blue 4.0-litre Audi, all on the A3 Esher bypass, which has a 50mph speed limit.
On this route, which he uses for commuting between his Kingston-upon-Thames home and the club`s training ground in Cobham, Surrey, he reached speeds up to 88mph.
Fofana admitted to all charges. The sheer number of offences meant his cases were spread across multiple courtrooms in the building.
Chairman Mr Soones humorously noted the quantity, stating, “He’s got a flush. He is in court one, two and three. But we have gathered them all together”.
His lawyer, Imogen Cox, told the court that Fofana is a young footballer who works hard in training but “foolishly did not comply with the rules of the road.”
Fofana was ordered to pay a fine of £5,328, along with a £2,131 victim surcharge and £110 in court costs.
He had previously received a six-month driving ban for speeding in January 2023.
Chelsea supporters sometimes refer to the player as a “sick note” due to his frequent long absences from injury, including two significant knee injuries since his £70 million transfer from Leicester City in 2022.
