Chelsea is reportedly planning to loan out promising young goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe once again next season, with a move to the Championship being considered. The England Under-21 international recently concluded a successful loan spell, playing a key role in helping Doncaster secure promotion from League Two this season.
The club`s intention is for the 22-year-old to gain experience at a more demanding level to further develop his abilities and enhance his standing in the game.
This decision comes at a time when Chelsea`s first-choice goalkeeping situation has been uncertain, marked by inconsistent performances from both Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen. Sanchez was initially dropped from the starting lineup in February, only for his replacement, Jorgensen, to make notable errors shortly after.

Consequently, manager Enzo Maresca has restored the 27-year-old Spanish keeper to the starting position. Maresca recently spoke positively about Sanchez following the team`s 1-0 Premier League victory over Everton.
Maresca noted the support Sanchez received from his teammates, acknowledging that the keeper had been going through a difficult period. He added that while mistakes tend to be remembered, Sanchez has also had many strong moments for the team throughout the season, including a crucial save in the final minutes against Tottenham.

Despite some reservations expressed by Chelsea supporters regarding Sanchez`s form, it is understood that securing a new senior goalkeeper is not currently a top priority for Maresca in the upcoming summer transfer window. Chelsea already possesses other goalkeeping options within the squad, such as Djordje Petrovic, who was the primary choice under former manager Mauricio Pochettino. Kepa Arrizabalaga, currently out on loan, is reportedly not expected to be part of Maresca`s plans upon his return.
