Two key forwards for the Vancouver Canucks, Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander, were absent from practice on Sunday.

Pettersson and Hoglander both missed the Canucks` practice in New Jersey on Sunday. However, it is still unclear whether they will be able to play in Monday`s game against the Devils.

Both players sustained injuries during Saturday`s game against the New York Rangers. Pettersson left the game in the second period after appearing uncomfortable before a face-off. Hoglander also exited the game early, having played only 7 minutes and 3 seconds.

Aatu Raty, a forward from the AHL`s Abbotsford Canucks, has been called up and is on standby, though he did not participate in Sunday`s practice. Rookie defenseman Elias Pettersson practiced as the 12th forward.

This season, Pettersson has scored 15 goals and accumulated 45 points in 63 games. He has recently improved his performance, earning points in the five games leading up to Saturday.

Hoglander has scored six goals and 21 points, with six of those points coming in his last five games.
