Canadiens trade Logan Mailloux to Blues for Zack Bolduc

NHL

Montreal, QC – Forward Zack Bolduc is reportedly experiencing a mix of feelings as he joins the Montreal Canadiens, the team he supported throughout his childhood.

The Canadiens completed a trade with the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday, just before the start of NHL free agency, acquiring Bolduc in exchange for defenseman Logan Mailloux.

During a video conference, Bolduc commented, “I made wonderful connections and lifelong friends in St. Louis. However, my excitement is immense because the Montreal Canadiens are the team I followed as a kid. I’m super excited.”

Bolduc also mentioned that the trade came as a complete surprise to him.

He described feeling a sense of surprise when Blues general manager Doug Armstrong called him shortly after a training session in Quebec City, his off-season training location.
