Canadiens Looking for a Forward to Pair with Demidov

NHL

After showing positive signs this past season and reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2021, the Montreal Canadiens are now actively seeking ways to enhance their roster.

According to Sportsnet`s Elliotte Friedman, while the Canadiens have various priorities this offseason, a key focus is bolstering their top-six forward group. Specifically, the team might be looking for a player to complement prospect Ivan Demidov.

During the latest episode of 32 Thoughts: The Podcast, Friedman mentioned, “I`ve heard a little bit about upgrading it forward, too… I think some of that focus could be on, you know, who do they envision playing with Demidov for a while?” He added, “Is there somebody out there that they would look at and say, those are two people that could grow together a little bit?”

Ivan Demidov himself created considerable buzz by moving to North America earlier than expected, offering the Canadiens faithful a promising glimpse of his capabilities.
