According to recent reports, Bryan Mbeumo has made the decision to join Manchester United, favouring them over a potential move to Arsenal.

The winger currently has one year remaining on his contract with Brentford and is widely anticipated to leave the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Mbeumo`s performances have attracted significant interest from several clubs across the Premier League.

However, he has reportedly selected United as his preferred destination, leading the Old Trafford club to prepare for transfer negotiations with the Bees.

Other clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle, were also understood to be contenders in the race to sign the Cameroon international.

The 25-year-old Mbeumo is considered a valuable asset, having reportedly contributed significantly this season with 20 league goals and eight assists.

Despite sustaining a lengthy injury during the 2023-24 campaign, the Brentford attacker proved his fitness by appearing in all 38 league fixtures upon his return.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank had previously indicated that the club would be open to selling their key player this summer, provided their valuation was met.

He was quoted saying: “If the right price — and that`s going to be expensive — is coming, then I’m sure the club will be open to it.”

United are reportedly aiming to conclude their transfer dealings early this summer and have supposedly already finalized an agreement for Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

They have also been linked with former Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, as Ruben Amorim is reportedly looking to enhance the team`s attack.

Reports also suggested that Ipswich`s promising forward Liam Delap was United`s primary striker target, but the former Manchester City academy graduate is now expected to sign for Chelsea instead.

United`s goal tally in the league this term was relatively low, scoring just 44, with their main striker Rasmus Hojlund finding the net only four times.

This perceived lack of goals has reportedly spurred Amorim to plan a substantial overhaul of the forward line, with Alejandro Garnacho possibly departing alongside players such as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony.
