New York finally broke the deadlock during the triples portion of the match. Schauffele`s excellent first shot on Hole 7 positioned his team to take a 1-0 lead, landing the ball within 5 feet of the hole.

Young Extends New York`s Advantage

NYGC built on their Hole 7 score by adding another point on Hole 8. Young`s approach shot was near-perfect, landing just 15 inches from the cup. New York then used their hammer to double the hole`s value, but Atlanta declined, conceding just one point to extend New York`s lead.

Horschel capitalized, sinking an approximately 18-foot putt to give Atlanta a 4-3 lead, which they then solidified on Hole 15 to win the championship.
