The game at Anfield concluded with a 2-2 draw, where Arsenal managed to come back after Liverpool had taken the lead with goals from Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz, which were later cancelled out by Gabriel Martinelli and Mikel Merino.
In his debut season, the 46-year-old Dutch tactician successfully guided Liverpool to win the Premier League title, securing the club`s 20th top-flight championship and matching Manchester United`s record. Following their title triumph, the team and staff have been in a celebratory mood.
Slot was seen at the popular O Beach Club in Ibiza, which is owned by Wayne Lineker, brother of football legend Gary Lineker. Club owner Wayne Lineker posted a picture on Instagram with Slot, prompting followers for captions. They were also reportedly joined by EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney.
Dean Gaffney shared a video clip on his Instagram story from the club, highlighting the appearance of the “Premiership-winning manager” for eagle-eyed viewers. Another video reportedly showed the Liverpool boss celebrating while the iconic song “We Are the Champions” by Queen played.
Looking ahead, despite the post-match celebrations, Slot is now focusing on Liverpool`s final two Premier League matches before the scheduled open-top bus parade on May 26th. Liverpool will first travel to face Brighton on Monday, then host Crystal Palace the following Sunday at Anfield. It is after this final home game against Crystal Palace that the champions are set to officially lift the Premier League trophy in front of their fans.
